Thanking someone for a post?
I've seen in several Threads, usually the ones that turn into debates where some of the users will thank someone for there post right below it. It will say "username" thanks "username" for their post. I've searched and searched and cannot for the life of me figure out how this is accomplished. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Thanking someone for a post?
After you have a certain number of posts here on RTB (I think it is 100... the magic # that you just reached with this post) you will see a "Thanks" button below each post. Click that button and it adds thanks.

Re: Thanking someone for a post?
Well it must be another magic number because I logged out and back in and still don't see a thanks button. At least now I'll know how to thank someone when my post count gets high enough. At the rate of post I make though I might take a few years to get there, I lurk and read everyday just don't post that much. Thanks again for the help though Morti, it was greatly appreciated!

Re: Thanking someone for a post?
Actually I just looked it up... it's supposed to only be 25 posts.
Do you not see a button that looks like this: down next to the Quote button on any given post?

Re: Thanking someone for a post?
No that is the first time I've seen that button. That's strange that it's not displayed on the post since it should be there.

Re: Thanking someone for a post?
Also when I go to User CP i have no link to VP Plaza. I've been using old post with links to it to go to it. Looks like something possibly could be messed up with my account.

Ha! I looks that way doesn't it! Be happy your not in MS today with the tropical storm rolling in. I just left the office to run down to the beach and we're already getting 5 to 6 foot swells out in the gulf. Just plain nasty weather.

Re: Thanking someone for a post?
Are you using Internet Explorer for a browser? I've seen similar issues with Firefox before. Might just be a browser/computer glitch

Re: Thanking someone for a post?
Well I finally figured it out. I had to go into the user CP then under edit options. Finally I selected the forum skin under options and selected forum default for the forum skin. The selection that was made prior was the google skin. It doesn't look any different but after making the change to the forum skin the Thanks Button is now showing up under the post. Thanks again to all who replied trying to help me solve this issue.

Re: Thanking someone for a post?
I was gonna start a new thread for my question but I guess it works here hahah.. Do we only have a certain amount of 'Thanks' per day? Morti you should know this one! lol.. I keep trying to thank stuff now, the button just disappears and it doesn't show up that I thanked them. Even when I refresh.. Grrr
Edit: LOL just saw how old these posts are. oops
