I think this is the right forum for this sort of question so here goes...
What are those little phrases under your name's? Like mine says "newbie to redtailboa.net". I've seen other people have different ones, and I'm wondering if there is a way to change this to make your own? Thanks a bunch

Hey Rachel,
I believe the names for the most part are linked to the number of posts you have made on the site. We all pretty much ignore them.
Mine says Ninja, which has no meaning to me. We all started out as Newbies, in one form or another. I am still an egg with much to learn.
The absolute worst thing you can do here is to post a lot of worthless mess to get the name to change. We all believe it is the CONTENT of what words you say, not how much you say them.
Does that help?

OK, this is how much I pay attention - mine says samuri - still does not mean much to me.

Lori, I'll send ya an email when I think of something . Haha, I knew I wanted one, but thought I'd ask first to make sure they could be changed ^_^.

It's sometimes better not to ask to have the name changed...... look what I got stuck with
Anything was better than Sensei or Expert though... IMO they all ought to be changed to funny titles.

I generally base requests for name changes as a one off basis. We have a system in place where you can gradually let your name change as the post number increase, or we can adjust it manually.
Whenever anyone e-mails me for a name change, I judge it based on two factors:
1) is it appropriate in content and to the person (ie.: I would probably not name you "Goddess of all known Boadom" as I don't know you well enough yet.)
2) is it amusing enough. (ie. MirabellaSunshine asked to be "King of Dictionopolis". Since I got the joke I had to comply. )
So come up with something to impress us, pick an admin, and send that mail.
