Actually, entertaining is not the word to describe people when they think the bank has lost their $$. I know, I have had to deal with that for 7 years and just for the record, the bank has never "lost" anyone's money, at least not in any of the hundreds of situations I have encountered.

wells fargo LOST a 700 dollar cash deposit of mine, they still don't know where it is. i still had the reciept and they reimbursed me, that why i ALWAYS make my deposits inside............

I have seen that happen before (not with any of my clients though), but it usually does turn up and then the client has extra $$, spends it and then after the bank debits their account (since provisional credit was given) it is a MESS!!
