rep points?

i just noticed these little green boxes next to the peoples user name that says rep points? what are they and how do you give people rep points? there are a few people on this site who are extreamley helpfull that i would like to give rep points..

you hit the scale in thier obx. on the top right of thier box. a new box opens and lets you pick if you approve of them or not.

it does take a certain amount. but mine wont change ever from 10 since they made me a mod. i use to have 40 rep points and when they make you mod they put it at 10 and it stays there. but i get to read the nice comments for the rep points. like the comment you just left. thank you.

OH, i see now, it goes by post.. on other sites i have been on its a one time thing, you give them your rating, and you dont get to give them another, or change it..

go to users CP and look at the bottom and it will tell you
