We are working on a writeup that will explain the system. Hopefully we will have something up within a few days.

For some reason I'm unable to see it. Her's looks just the same as your and Natas. The only way mine is different is it doesn't have the bad post on it because obviously it is my account. Well, other then the rep power being different.

Interesting. I'm not a moderator so can't imagine why I could see something you can't. Natas?

Its down in the lighter colored portion of the post (post #2 in this thread) itself, just below Rep Power. You guys don't see that?

Interesting...there should be no reason they can't see the warning WW.
As the short and skinny on this, the warning system allows us to track TOS violations when and where we see them.
The list of violation categories and the point values assigned will be posted in the explanation.

Interesting....
I just logged in on my wife's account to see what a non-moderator sees and I couldn't see the warning, not sure why you can WW.
As Natas said, there will be a post coming soon explaining the system.
Also, just to clear up the one question all ready asked, anyone who is warned receives a PM that links them to the post they were warned for with all other pertinent details as well.
It should all be crystal clear once the thread is put up, we're working on that now. Why did we implement the system before explaining it fully? I speak for me, not Natas or all admins, in saying that the new system only enforce the TOS that the mods/admins have always done, it just makes it easier to do so. Keep with the TOS and you'll never have a worry, just like before.

I would think the system would be most effective if regular users could not see the warning, if nothing else it would avoid questions like this one
Has there been a shift in attitude among you folks as to what is going to be allowed and what is not?

No attitude change, but this makes moderation less of an all or nothing thing. Before we basically warned people, or banned them. The wasn't a lot of in between and it was hard to keep track of who had done what in the past and whether or not all those past things were worthy of a ban.
Now there will be set limits and it is easy to keep track of who has done what in the past since it is on their record. Of course warning points go away over time, you're not marked for life unless you do flagrant things. All of which will be clear once we have the thread ready.

I agree, its a good system. Is this something that was introduced in the new version? On our forum we just keep track of it in backroom threads but perhaps we should implement this as we're on the new version too.
