Start feeding rats?

I have a female Boa who is 2.9ft. I am currently feeding her 2 mice about 1 1/2 inches long and she still wants to eat wants more. I want to start feeding her rats. I would like to know what size rats can I feed her and how many?

How does 2.9ft translate? 2ft 9 inches or 2ft and another 9/10ths of a foot? Either way... I think a small hopper rat would do.
Most people pescribe to the rule of one item (preferably a rat) that is no bigger than the widest part of the snake. The item should only just be noticable in your snakes tummy.
Another thing make sure the rat is prekilled (the petstore should do it for you if you think you can not). And even better frozen and then thawed rats. The freezing process has been proven to kill a number of parasites that rats carry.
Good luck, and don't hestate to ask any more questions.

Vegetatoboaotaku said it great. it is better to get your boa on rats as soon as possible. Also fozen thawed it the best way to go, and the sooner the better. I have feed my boa frozen for the last couple of years and I recommend it.
