when to feed larger rats?
I have a rtb 2 1/2 years old 5-6ft long. I have been advised to feed her a large rat every 10-14 days. I was wondering what signs or how do I know that I need to feed a jumbo rat and then a small rabbit or two jumbo rats etc. How do I know when to feed her more? What will she do to let me know or how large should she be to know that I am feeding her enough.

Geez...
Easiest answer I can give, is to follow the girth rule on food size.
When it hits a growth spurt and gets bigger, increrase the size of the food.
As to what food, is up to you, as long as it is sized properly.

Eddie nailed it
One item the size of the girth is always better than more than one item. If at all possible, dont feed more than one prey item at a time.

i just fed mine a large rat and she definately wanted more food. she was like getting ready to attack the glass when we walked by. so my daughter has a rat that is so mean and we threw it in and she attacked in less then 1/2 second. i never feed her live or more then one item but they talked me into it.
