OKAY TO FEED 2 MICE AT ONE TIME?
Our BP is about 2' long and 2.5" at thickest point. When we bought him about a month ago, we were told to feed him fuzzies. Last week, he seemed unsafisfied by his meal. We feed him on Tuesdays so he will be fed tomorrow. Before his last few feedings, he would get active about one day before his feeding day, but now he has been active almost all week. He's been roaming around inside his tank day and night and is making a valiant effort to find a gap in the top. It is clipped. Nothing has changed with the temps in his 10 gallon tank since we got him. Daytime temp is kept at about 85-88 with a basking spot of 90 on warm side. Evenings we keep it at 75-78 with just an undertank heating pad going on warm side to keep it at 80. I think he is just hungry. I called the store where we got him and they prekill and freeze the mice for us. I ordered 2 fuzzies for tomorrow because the petstore said we would need to look at the size of the small mice to know what ones to order compared to our bp's size. My question is this. For this weeks feeding, I will have 2 fuzzies available. Is it better to offer them both to him at the same feeding or should I feed him one tomorrow, wait a few days and give him the 2nd? Any advice would be appreciated! Sorry for the long post.

A 2' Royal should be eating weanling to small rats. If you can get some rats, your Royal would be a lot better off. 2 fuzzy mice just are not enough to fill its belly.

Yeah LD is right I've got a BP thats around 16 to 18 inches and he eats full sized adults every 7 days. A 2 footer should be able to take small rats easily.

Your 2 foot what, Louise? Royals and bloods eat much larger meals than most other boids do (of comparable length)

You are feeding her way too much and too soon. She is puking because she can't handle digesting that much. A boa that size should be getting 1 weaned rat every 7 days... no more! Right now you need to let her sit for a whole week without food and allow her to get her gut flora back in balance, then offer her only 1 prey item (preferrable a weaned rat). Do NOT feed her again for another 7 days.
