Now dat is a few of feeders
I love this time, time to pick up my feeders for the next 3 months. Great deal this time. It was about 140 pounds. The pic does not do it justice but the totals are (according to RodentPro):
Adult Mice - 150
Rats:
Crawlers - 3
Small - 29
Medium - 10
Large - 28
Jumbo - 19
Colossal - 24
Guinea Pigs:
Large - 8
Jumbo - 9
Colossal - 10
Monster - 24
Gonna have some happy boas with all those pigs (600-750 grams each)!
The most work was labeling and vaccuum sealing them. Special thanks to RevMojo for his help tonight (free feeders should do it )
Including cost, gas, and the vaccuum sealer bags, it is about 1/4 Rodent Pro. Ya can't beat that. And rat and mouse pinks coming Monday at no additional charge. I need another freezer. But I guess that is a good problem.
One happy herper.

I would not ahve had to vacuum seal them if they came from RodentPro Of course time was also involved. Including driving, weighing, separating, lebeling and packing it took about 7 hours.

These are actually Lab Raised. I have a friend that goes through a TON of feeders and every 3 months she goes to pick up another truckload. She gets them free, I give her $75 to help with expenses of getting a few states away to get them and she loads me up. This batch is not nearly as big as the last, but it is worth it for all the very large feeders. She also can't use rat or mouse pinkies, so she is separating everything and getting all the pinks to me next week. This definately brings down the cost of care. Great timing too since we are still broke fromt he wedding.
I have never fed Guinea Pigs before. I know there is a nutritional chart on feeders somewhere, but I can't find it.

I feel like emailing the pic to PETA
It is nice bagging your own. I got to bag them in numbers to suite my needs. Of course those Monster size pigs would barely fit one per quart bag! The largest one we weighed was 744 grams. The only problem is that I never know what I am going to be getting so it is hard to plan. Still gotta get things like Rat Pups and mouse hoppers and the like from RodentPro.
