All my BCIs feed in Rubbermaid tubs. I feed wet prey so a cardboard box won't really work well, plus I don't have boxes at my disposal, and hard to get boxes big enough to fit my girls in. My BCC is a little more timmid and will only eat in his cage. But I keep him on newspaper so he can't ingest substrate.

depends on the snake, usually about 30- 60 minutes. this is to let the feeding response disapate. I still use a hook when removing them though. The tub will still hold the smell of the prey. The hook kind of signals them that no more food is coming.

Hey raaarj...check out the trading post. I have some good deals on hooks. I make the standard hooks sturdy for field herping...much stronger than what you will find anywhere else... for flipping logs-ripping through tin etc...but they are also just as easy to handle snakes with as the flimsy hooks you will find at shows. I also have some nice cage hooks for the smaller snakes...check them out.
