Re: New Rat Rack
Much better.
I need to build one for my four 112qt tubs. Will sometime. Just far too lazy and with far too many other pressing financial matters to consider than stacking them any other way than one on top of the other.

Re: New Rat Rack
Very nice. I made a very similar tier on top of my mouse freedom breeder for rats. You may want to look at a reservoir watering system. I found it MUCH easier to just fill a 2 gal bucket once a week than have to deal with water bottles. And with a bucket rather than plumbed, you don't have to worry as much about a leaking drinking valve. For your system it would only be like $50 for everything from Freedom Breeder.

Re: New Rat Rack
Looks good Chad.
What did you use for top panels?
And here is the link for the watering system I use.
I have no complaints about these guys, and fast shipping.
AgSelect: Browsing Starter Kit - Flex-Tube Watering with 3 Vari-Flo Valves
AgSelect: Browsing Add-On Kit - Flex-Tube Watering with 6 Vari-Flo Valves
Mine have been installed for over a year now with no leaks, and you can adjust the flow at the nipple.
The clips will fit nicely in a 1/2"x 1/2" hardware cloth (Screen)

Re: New Rat Rack
thx
by top panels i assume that what you mean is the 1/2 inch hardware cloth. I followed the how to in the link above to a T.
How much was your entire watering system. I planned on following the one that the guy in the link build, but if the price was reasonable for the one you bought, id buy it. Was it both systems for $75? Was it just a plug and chug project?

Re: New Rat Rack
I can't remember the total price with shipping, but yes it's roughly $75. If I remember right both items shipped in the same box

Re: New Rat Rack
I like that. Wish I could do one but my other half says I can't breed feeders in an apartment. So I'm spending a small fortune every month on feeders.
