Hey all....Even though I have a rtb, I always seem to write about my Ball Pyhton. Now My rtb
just got out of his blue faze and should be shedding within the next few days but he ate today anyways, so I thought that was cool ...Now my ball just shed yesterday so I fed him a baby rat today. I took him to the pet store where I got him from and frequent a lot so they could recommend the proper size of food item...this is his second baby rat and each time he eats them he looks so fat..lol....Now my question is since his pray is larger...Feeding him once a week will be fine right?...I ve never had a regurge and he sheds perfect ever single time...this is is 3rd shed for him since getting him....So all is going well

Thanks for the help all

I usually start spreading feedings out to 10 days after they move on to larger rats sometime in the second year and once on really large rats I move them to once every 2 weeks. I just fed one of my younger boas tonight....he ate and shed at the same time. I didn't notice he was even in shed...as he took the rat, i noticed skin peeled up over his nose....it wasn't that way when I first put him in the feed tote. When I went to put him up later he had rat belly and a perfect shed laying next to him
