I have an 01' Female BP who is eating one large adult mouse a week. I really want to swich her to small rats, but im not sure if she is ready yet. I would say she is almost as thick as the rat, but i don't really want to push her too fast. When did u BP owners swich over to rats? Thanks

I try to switch all of my snakes over to rats soon as I can actually. I am sure that there is a rat that is of adequate size for your ball python. Just go with the girth rule is all basically and it'll be fine. Also note that ball pythons can be fussy eaters and it may take some encouragement on your part, as well as persistance to change from mice to rats also. GL !
