Has anyone had a problem with snake not eating white rats, and that they have to be male.
She won't eat females...

Some snakes are very picky about the color of rodents. Mostly royals seem to refuse white rats or mice. I've known other cases of the same problem. I've never come across any snake refusing a particular sex rodent.

I didn't think that sex was an issue but I was thinking back about all the rats that I have fed her and all were male and this last one was a female.. And I thought that it was because we just moved her to a larger tank. But I don't think that was it because I got her a male that was colored and she didn't wait any time to get it. My BP eats white mice, but only females. So far it has refused eating 5 or 6 times, and every time it was a male mouse. It has eaten 5 mice all female! Tonight i'll try another male and see what happens.
