My adult female colombian rtb is more than big enough to handle a rabbit but I usually feed her rats becasuse of availability.
In fact she ate rabbits regularly for her previous owner... however, when I fed her a rabbit this time her bowel movement was not to pretty. LOTS of gas (yup), and very runny...
Do you think the rabbit was nasty or do rabbits usually do that to bowel movements?

It might just be the change of diet. If I ate cheeseburgers for lunch every day for a week, then one day went out and ate mexican, well, I'll spare your the details but I think you get the idea.

Perhaps things will become more normal if she gets a steady diet of rabbits..

I have quite a few snake sI keep that feed upon rabbites here. I have never had such happen with them though. It could be the change in diet possibly, but i also have not had that happen when I can not get my hands on rabbit and have to feed rat , then go back to rabbit with them. I would think that it is possible that the rabbit is the underlying issue that caused this though.. like as in it was not "fresh" or something possibly. Just my .02

I have only seen this one time, with an Albino Burmese I had years ago. I also think it was something with the rabbit, because she had never done it before, and never did it again. The bowel movement was very early, only days after the feeding. The consistancy was quite thin, not runny, just very soft. Not to mention the stench was horrid. What left me to beleive it was the rabbit, was that there were no temp changes, and hadnt done it previously, and never did it again.
