This will be the first time I'm feeding her, The male and female are housed together, so I have to get the male out first before I feed her. I would just like some suggestions in how to feed her without getting bit by either of them. They are 7 or 8 ft. snakes and I am inexperienced (become experienced really quick) with feeding the adults. Like I said my fiancee is away and I am quite nervous about all this. I was hoping to have someone help me, and I am still working on it. But just in case I have to do this alone, I would appreciate any suggestions. Do you have a snake hook handy? If not use a broom stick or something to lift the male out. Leave the female in the cage. And basically be careful.

HUH?? Ed-R ..Ya saying for her to feed the female in the cage ? If she does that then once she puts the male back in there she could have a problem as the cage will have a rodent smell in it and the snakes could bite one another due to such. Then she would have another problem to deal with also.
I would suggest feeding BOTH snakes outside of the cage in a feeding tote of some sort [ sep ones btw also]..Then placing the snakes back into the cage.
We got any members here in AZ that could help her get those snakes fed ?

Gosh I never even thought of that. She was fed by someone a week ago and that's how he did it and didn't notice any problem after with them. The problem is I can't get that same guy to come over again and help me. I never thought of the male biting her. He has never done that before. They are always so cuddly with each other. Gosh this is so stressful.

Actually more stressful to you than the snakes it seems!
You can get big plastic totes with lids for around $3 at any walmart ( another eveil empire) or at most home centers like Lowes or home Depots.
Just wash your hands really well with good soap and water to eliminate any possible smells you may have from anything that they smell as food and lift him out.
Just give plenty of cool down time before putting either one back from the tote as it some times takes a while to calm the feed response in the animals.

I've actually never had that problem. My only concern is that the felale will be highly agressive and the immediate food will calm her down. Dont need to jump all over me. Worst case the female will be slightly psychotic and strike anything that move. Untill i got seperate cges from mine I fed them that way all the time and never had an issue. Chill just looking out so Karen doesn't get bit.

Is this the same boa that dropped a load of babies on ya?
I would get a new set up just for him and keep them seperate and use newspaper as a substrate so ya ain't got too much to worry about when you feed either one.
