Yesterday, I went out and bought 2 dozen crickets, 2 dozen superworms, and a dozen waxworms for my leopard geckos and they were all given to me in separate plastic bags. Well, when I got home, I put the bags on the bed and forgot ALL about them. Well, when I went to bed, I noticed that somehow, strangely, two of the bags were deflated. Upon closer inspection, all the crickets and superworms were gone!
Out the corner of my eye, I saw something crawling around on my bed and it was a superworm. They had chewed their way out of the bag and escaped! All 24 or so superworms were on the bed and between the sheets. I collected them all and put them in the box I keep them in, they're all accounted for. The crickets, however, were long gone. Oh yeah, except for the one that hopped on my face at 7 am. I swatted that one away and went back to sleep.

Well it sounds like the perfect excuse to get a house gecko to free roam to me!

EWWWW!! When I was growing up this is exacty why my parents wouldn't let me have anything that eats bugs! ugh, just the thought of rolling around in the middle of the night squishing waxworms and crickets *shivers* -Juggalo

I haven't had that happen before, but I've had two funny experiences with crickets.
The first was when I was living at my old house and had BW's leos. I had a bag full of crickets that had to sit on my desk at the office for 9 hours. I had one coworker walk by and do a double take, nearly falling over in the process. (They now expect strange things from me.)
The second was fourth of July weekend when we had fed my tarantula and she had a single cricket left. I spent two nights thinking that the outside noise was a little louder than usual. Then BW pointed out that it was IN our bedroom. He promptly got rid of it.
There are always bound to be stories involving food for our pets.

thats too funny bry. even though Im not scared of bugs (except roaches) I still would freak out if they crawled on me while sleeping hahaha. The only food I have lost is when I used to keep mice and sometimes I would get an olympic jumper. lol Its a funny sight seeing me and mom trying to catch them in the house. hahaha
