My BCI has just finished with the pre-shed. (His eyes went cloudy and are now clear) if he wantes to eat is that a problem?

people say some different things on this. I don't think it's any problem, however thier bodies have developed to slow their metabolism when they go into shed (they can't hunt with their eyes blue very well, they adjusted) so a lot of people (including me) wait until after shed to feed. -Juggalo

Nope. I've fed my RTB, Ted, during all stages of his shed without a problem. I think only once did he completely refuse.

Nope I always offer food weather they are in a she or not. SOMETIMES they will refuse to eat. Dont be alarmed. My BCIs almost always eat during a shed. When they shed there is nothing internal going on that may hurt digestion. Actually having a meal during the shed helps to detach the dead skin from the new skin.

Conceptually, I thought so! I mean, it made sense, right? Good to have a second.

Thank you!
He had gone through the phase where his eyes were clouded and had started to cruise. I think it knows feeding day more than I do. I offered the f/t mouse last night and he took it down fast.
Checked on him this morning and all is well.
Thanks again for all the information.
