OK, I'm sure many of you remember my asking questions about my JCP. Here's another one.
He's ok once you get him out of his tank but he's pretty nasty when going in to get him out.
He has a hiding place in the tank which he used to use but 5 months ago I put a new piece of driftwood in the tank and that's all he'll use now.
I don't want to take the wood out as he loves it, but I cannot get him out of the tank. the DW has 3 holes in it and he just laces himself through the holes. he's there 22 hours a day and I only see him out once a week or so when I wake up in the middle of the night in the watter bowl.
Even for feeding he only comes down far enough to get the food, (I know I shouldn't be feeding him in the tank and am making him worse) and then goes right back in to eat.
again, he's friendly once out but it's #$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^& getting him out.
Any advice?

and once again I keep saying he when it's a she. Why do I call all snakes him or he? just like all dogs to me are boys' and cats are girls'... I have 2 male cats and 1 female and I still always call them girls... "she's this... she's that..."

I'd have to agree with J, take out the wood until she can learn to behave herself. also, you're right, feeding her outside of the cage might take some of the edge off also. just keep trying, and keep a camera handy ! -Juggalo

Heh, your JCP sounds a lot like mine. She's a female dog to take out, but once I get her out, she's as easy to handle as my boas are. The only difference is, my JCP does not know the meaning of the word 'hide'. Take the bites, that's the fun part anyway.
