There could be SOOOOOOO many reasons...
Why don't you tell us more first... Size of tank, temp in tank, what do you use to heat it, do you know your humidity level?
Red tails seldom need to eat live to eat... they are usualy very good eaters when kept in proper conditions... just tell us everything you can about his habitat...

I agree with seany on this one.. need more info on his housing, humidity and temp. the are several reasons why he came of feed.. one is his tank may be too cold his humidity could be too low or almost nill, like i said several reasons.. please provide more info i do not have a lot of stuff in my cages i keep water for soaking, water for drinking. hides and newspaper for substrate. mine feed regularrly, humidity around 60 temp hot side day around 85 cool side day 75-78 various. and they just snatch and swallow. if everyhting is ok.. than maybe you might want to try to prekill and brain cap one sometimes the blood will help. i usually let my frozen thawed rats bleed a little it seems to help with the ball pythons which are notorious for not feeding just my 2 cents worth.
oh and WELCOME TO RTB...

Welcome to RTB. An aditional Question. Did the snake happen to be bitten by the rat? Heard of that happening and having the snake be terrified of rats then.
