Sounds like COMPLETE B.S to me. No how, No way!
Also, it's stories like these that give herpers a bad name. My wife and I now have 3 cats, all are like part of the family... like any pet to any animal lover.
If your BP eat your cat, you'd be mourning him/her, not bragging (sorry, I call em as I see um)
on rtb.net
I think this thread has gone far enough. It's just plain sick.

This is the first time I've read this post and I honestly had to step back and compose myself. The basic disregard and attitude makes me believe that your animals should be taken away from you. If this story is true, I'm curious as to how much damage the cat did to your snake, why you left a snake unattended within an enclosure that it could easily escape from, and what made you think that it was appropriate to post this topic?
Did you know that cats have a natural instinct to kill anything that's moving and can be considered their next meal? Especially an outdoor cat, whose hunting skills are more highly developed than an indoor cat (which is not saying much). When we had my boa upstairs, my cat would sit there and watch his every move. We had to know where she was whenever we took him out of his cage. Cats cannot be trusted around reptiles. When a cat gets ahold of something (like a snake) or is attacked, their first line of defense is their claws and teeth. Kill or be killed, but at least it was a good fight. I've seen more than one example of a cat who killed or mortally wounded the snake before it died - regardless of size. Check out this web site: Snakes Harmful and Harmless
You obviously have no regard for your snakes. What would you have done if the cat had killed your "seven foot" ball python?!!! You certainly wouldn't be rejoicing in its death, would you?
BW and I have three cats and coworkers of mine gave them three months to survive after I moved in with him. I could not convince them that there was no way that our cats would come into contact with the snakes because of the safty precautions we took. Obviously, you have no regard for the safety of you snakes or your cat.
Your last reply certainly does give away your age and maturity level. If I were you, and thankfully I'm not, I'd be trying to clear up my name and give proof to go along with this story. Otherwise, admit that you're dealing with people who know what they're doing and have caught you in the middle of a lie. I admit, I've only been dealing with snakes on a regular basis for the past year, but I know better than what you've done.

Kyle,
There is no misunderstanding at all- it is quite obvious that you are lying. Tell us, how long have you had this adult ball python that is capable of swallowing abnormally large prey? In your previous posts, you made it quite clear that your yearling is your only ball python. The inconsistencies in your lies give you away.
I've said it before and I'll say it again Kyle- I don't know why you're lying, and don't particularly care why either. The bottom line is that dishonesty is not appreciated. If you want to continue with your little implausible ruse, you can. No one believes the lie.

Hey Kyle,
*in my best Ace Ventura voice* - "CAN-YOU-FEEL-THAT, HUH? CAPTAIN-COMPOSTE!"
That is the feeling of all the crap you have been shoveling being slammed right back where it came from! Kind of hard to ride that bike afterwards, huh?

I have been reading all of this thread, and all i have to say is i cant believe it has gone on this long.
herpers in general from my experience are a good lot who when asked will help in most if not all circumstances. i myself enjoy the info i get here and feel that it is true of all herpers, that they give help with very little bs. 2- they like people to be straight forward- no lieing. 3-will tend to walk away if they feel they are not being told the whole truth. i have always enjoyed this site and when compelled have replied in an limited manner. the only rule that i have is if stating something please try to be truthful and accuratte, no one wants to get into a bs session when dealing with herps. our herps depend on what we have learned. and is given quite freely when honestly asked for. I believe that part of the reason why this thread has gone on for so long is because of the disregard for another animal's life and the apparent joy in the loss of it's life. People like that should not own animals.

OK, I think this one has pretty much made our points to the cat-man.
So, I am giving it a rest before it gets too carried away.
