Hey all!

Since I don't have A/C in my house, it gets pretty hot in here. We have fans in all the windows, but it doesn't keep everything cool like I'd like it. Anyway, you think that the hot weather and heat pads make the snakies digest any faster than normal? The RTB seems to digest faster than the BP. She hasen't even been sitting on her heat pad, but instead out in the open next to her water dish. I'd like to keep holding her (like usual) but I don't want her striking at me again b/c she's digested and hungry again b/c of the hot weather.
BTW, I fed her 2 small mice on the 6/27.
Any ideas?!

Thanks!

Got the heatpad on low?
What about lights or heat lamps?
But yeah, they can digest a little faster when its warm.
Just do what ya need to do to keep them from being too hot, like a big cool tub of water in the cage for soaking in and misting them.
That with the fans should help keep them from getting too hot, but if ya don't want her being hungry ya gotta feed her..
Which leads us back to power feeding...
Which is bad....

The heat pad is not a human type, just a normal reptile pad so I can't change the temp. I do feel it often though to make sure it's OK. I know I should get a thermostat, and I prob will with all this hot and humidness going on.

No lights or heat lamps. They get natural sunlight from the window, but they not in direct contatc with the wondow so that it doesn't heat up the tank.

They both have water dishes to soak in, but they don't really do it very often or at all. I don't know why. Maybe they do it at night when the lights are off. ?

I don't want to power feed...don't wanna mess with that. Guess I'll just try to keep then a little cooler. Run a few more fans and add another water dish.
