Rats
Today I fed both my RTB and BP rats. The BP can eat small adult rats and is only three months old. The RTB is only two months old and is eating small adult mice. Today though I fed her a rat pinky. The reason being i got a rat from the breeder and he only had rat pinkies. Anyway I fed her the rat pinky which was the same size as the mice I had been feeding her. My question is, The the rat pinky better for the RTB? Or should I just feed her mice untill she is big enough for small rats? I have had the BP since she was one month old and she has always eaten like a champ, I RTB I had only had for a month and I have fed her the same as the BP. But it seems like the BP can eat more, second question, Does it seem as if a great eating BP can eat large prey more frequently? Anyone have experience?

the rats, even the pinkies, have more meat on em than the mice. I had wondered the same thing when I got mine but everyone seemed to agree that you should just stick with rats. I'm sure you'll get more info on the second question but I'd say stick with your regular schedule,,I assume you're feeding the BP every 7-10days?

No. I feed every five days when I feed mice, with both. Sometimes I will wait an extra day or two with the RTB. Now that I am feeding rats to the BP, I will feed every 7 days. The RTB will stay on the same schedule, every 5-7 days. If i don't feed the bp, by the 5 to 6 days she is #$%^$%^$%^$%^$%^$%^& off, bad. She will search the tank and by the 7th day she will strike at anything that moves, even at the glass when you walk by.

My BP is about 18 inches or so and fat as #$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^&, if you look in the pic section you can see both of my animals about two and a half weeks ago, they have grown a little. I feed either one or two mice depending on size, stunned always.

If you think your BP if fat you should see mine, mine is about 2ft. and eats small rats. Hes fed every 7 days and was getting obese a while ago because hes is such a beast, Now he is perfectly healthy (because he didnt want to eat 3 meals in a row, then ate one, then missed one, the ate one, then missed his last one), Its kinda funny how a obese snake knows when to take a diet.

Yeah I am giving my BP a break for about 10 days, he eats so much all of the time that maybe he could take a break. Also he seemed to not want to eat the mouse I fed him after the rat, 5 days a part. He also refused the second, so I am going to let him get good and hungy.
