Re: Man bit by illegally owned Gaboon in Tampa, FL

Snakes (in the wild or given the chance) do learn their way around! Very well, it turns out! But letting a boid roam in & out thru the kittie door, yikes!!!

Reminds me of my ratsnakes that learn & remember where my belt-loops are...they like to climb thru them!? (to hold on)

Re: Man bit by illegally owned Gaboon in Tampa, FL

no it wasnt a kitty door, it was a hole he used as a kitty door. He got ordered to fix it so no mre nightly kitty snacks for the snake *lol*

But waht I was refering to is I suspect that the viper found his way back hom eon its own thus the lid was not own.

I would recommend not taking your snakes out and about simply because the temps and humidity aren't right for them. Also, they're not exactly a social creature so they're probably just stressed, cold and dry while out and about.
