Interesting story. I assume they raise them on farms - does anybody know?

I would guess they are wild collected
I doubt they would put money and time into keeping them alive, feeding them, then rearing their young to be big enough.
it wouldn't be cost effective.
say it costs them $100 to bring a cobra to maturity to butcher, and that snake only yields 2 lb of actual meat that sells for a few $$$
I'd say its another extinction just waiting to happen.
