we watch the animal cops show all the time, and they could have just singed the dogs over.. either way they are going to get some serious jail time now

I can see shooting a dog who is extremely sick or hurt, But to shoot a dog for having fleas. Makes my blood boil.

Probably no jail time...maybe a fine for the fact of the condition before they shot the dogs, but state law allows it and the dogs are considered property

Sad isnt the word,I would gladly take a dog or two in.It might be legal but its far from being right!!! I cried when i took my dog to the vet to be put to sleep i couldent shoot it.

i couldnt agree more...its one thing to be lawful...its another to be a decent human being.. i read about this story in the newspaper and thought these people where complete idiots..but when u think about it...if they had brought them to a shelter most of them would have been put down anyways...so either way its gonna be a sad outcome.. the people should have been smart enough to not get in that situation to begin with...it takes a real moron to do something like that...

Hey the article forgot to mention that they will be having free pickup for Retic owners from 9 to 5 tomorrow....just joking.... wonder what these guys would do if someone told them to "start running and I'm going to shoot"? Some people are just plain retards, I mean was there any thought process in any of this, they sound brain dead to me....

That's crazy...but obviously what happened here was some kind of neglect/abuse was going on so when the officials got on to them they destroyed the evidence before anyone could see. And according to the article, what they did was perfectly legal so they won't get in any trouble at all. Lovely. And by "kennel" I think the article is referring to breeding facility (AKA puppy mill.) So, humane death or not, it's probably a good thing that the dogs were put down. Just would have been better if they were humanely euthanized.
