Texas Rattlesnake Roundup Rattles Reptile Experts
VIDEO LINK **DIAL UP WARNING** (not to mention blood pressure..)
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/n...tml?source=rss
The story:
August 3, 2006—
Who has the best recipe for deep-fried rattlesnake? That's one of the questions posed each spring in Sweetwater, Texas, during the U.S.'s largest annual rattlesnake roundup. Hunters gather up to 20,000 western diamondbacks, which are then milked for their venom before being skinned and sliced for an unusual cook-off.
Go on the hunt with a local snake handler, and find out why the quirky festival has some reptile experts rattled.

What's the point of killing Snakes anyway?
It's entirely redundant to kill them for their meat because you probably won't get much off them anyway, and there's a wide enough variety of food already.
