Great idea, and I bet the snakes love it. Now everyone is going to going out and getting one of those foggers I bet. They aren't that much new either so it shouldn't cost them too much to copy yours.

You might be a redneck if....
Cool idea. never thought you would get fog out that dense. Looks like your puffing smoke in the cage. Would have thought most of the humidity would have condensed in the tubing.

This model runs about $30 at Wal Mart. I was amazed at the desity as well. And don't forget that the amount you see in the pic is just one of 3 outlets, so there really is 3 times that much.

I've thought about doing that, but wrote it off that the condensations wouldn't go through that well. Now i know.

I think you are right that a normal humidifier may have too much condensation. Plus anormal one sends out the fog through vents rather than up a "pipe".

It is a KAZ desktop humidifier. I had to raise the humidity in my far amazon cage tonight. So now I know that i can run the tube over 6 feet and still get a great flow

I bought a SunBeam ultrasonic humidifier for $3 after I seen this and went to Home Depot and got my pipes and fittings total cost $7. Works great and my snakes love it . I am running one pipe about 8 ft. and it works without a problem.

Here is an example. This is a 6'x3'x2' cage after about 15 or 20 minutes.

That's awesome, BW. I did something very similar to that for my JCP's cage a while back. Granted, I could've designed it better, but I liked the way it turned out. It fogged up the cage so well you could barely see anything in it. It was funny to have people ask me if the cage was on fire. "Yes, it's on fire. These snakes come from areas that have frequent forest fires, so they feel more at home around fires."

That's pretty freakin' cool... about how long do you usually leave it on at any one time?
