We have an offer from the new RTB domain owner to purchase the net side back from him, the details are on the front page news.
As of this moment we have $140 in donations and are seeking $260 in order to get RTB back home where it belongs!

Also, a contributors list is in the works for all that donate for this cause.

My ? How hard is it going to be for all these nice folks that have spent days transfering over to reptilehaven to transfer all of it back? I would love to have it back but would not want to be them right now..lol Also how long do we have to come up with it?

I know I don't mind. I have spent a lot of time already going through broken links fixing pics that were in RTB photo accounts. I would be glad to change them all back if we get the good ol RTB.net domain back!

I say give all those great members their money back and let these buttholes from asia keep the domain. If we pay them, will only be supporting this kind of BS and they'll just do it again and again to other nice internet domains that slip up like this. Reptilehaven will always be all about those wonderful boas no matter what. They don't deserve to get paid by being hatefull losers. This isn't the thing that we should support. What are they going to do with rtb.net anyway? The answer is nothing, now they're out $20 or whatever the year costs and that's their loss, let's not make it their gain.

I wish it was that easy but the main reasons why we need the domain back are the following:

Email - Over 300 people use our email system and this would be a shame to loose all of those.

Plus people know this name and all the hard work I put into getting listed on search engines etc will be gone [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img]

OH, that does make a difference Natas... well these people still SUCK and I would love it if they came over to my place for a "chat" with my Louisville Slugger. It's funny when someone does this type of thing to a multinational corperation, but to a nonprofit like RTB.net is just ruthless. It feels like a personal attack to each and everyone of us members.

This is not going to stop them....they do this for a living...lots of people do. It is big business. By not buying the site back, they are not losing anything. If we don't buy it back, then they find someone else to buy it...and will probably be competition for us. I think the idea is to get our name back!!

First of all welcome back !!!!!!!!!!!! I went through my own battles getting the NAROA site online . We have some serch engine submisions done but need to do more . I cant believe people get away with such piracy [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_evil.gif[/img] . You know you will always have my full support .
If you still need help at the end of the week I will see what I can do about sending a few bucks your way . It really is screwd up one of my favorite herp sites is having its domane held hostage .
