Argentine Rainbow Boa

Here is my Argentine rainbow boa that I have owned for a couple of years now. He is staying very small and has never showed any aggression which is unusual for Argentine rainbows. I have tried to get him to grow but he still fits in a 10 gallon after 4 years. He is healthy and never refuses a meal so I'm not worried. I know they get smaller than your normal rainbow but I didn't think they stayed this small.

Hey guys, Ive always loved anacondas. I mean who doesnt? Who can resist that face with eyes almost on top of their head? Haha. I was thinking about getting a male yellow. Ive heard they can either be spawns of satan or angels. Does anyone have pictures of them with their adult males? And any advice if I was to get one.

Thanks in advance, Connor

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to buy a pair of Eryx colubrinus. Babies are offered to me. But I'm afraid of feeding problems. One of my friends uses Praomys natalensis speciemens to feed he's ball python. Do you think E. colubrinus will eat Praomys natalensis babies? I heard they have other kind of smell... not like a mice...
What do you think about this?

Thanks a lot!

Hey guys, I was browsing through kingsnake and came across alot of viper boas. Unfortuneatly they were almost all WC. Does anyone know if people are breeding these? I would really like to have a breeding group going so there could be some more CBB in the hobby. They are awsome looking boas. And snakes like look a hot but actually aren't, awsome.

Does anyone here keep them? Does anyone know if they are difficult to breed?

Thanks, Connor

i tired to put her on a every 2 week feeding schedule but she was NOT having that. after about 10 days she would strike at everything that moved. god forbid the wind would move the shades! i am scared she will get out and try to eat chance someday! so she is back on every week eating schedule and the little pig is eating rat pinks with no problems. when i got her from BWSmith she was eating mice pinks a year ago.
she does the same thing every time., she stuffs her face and then she goes and soaks. after soaking she goes and lays on the warm side. she still eyeballs anything with a heartbeat for a few days. here are pics of her after her feast. god forbid i open her cage more then a crack, i have fear she will bolt out and swallow my nose!

then she headed to her hot side and and tried to camouflage herself hoping i would get close enough to get my nose. little does she know i can see her flat pointy beak in her vines.

I already did a ton of research on these wonderful snakes. I have owned several large boids, and know how to take care of my reptiles. I don't want to hear about how bad of a decision I have made. (one of my buddies pointed out the obvious about an anaconda) I would just like some advice from some more experience anaconda keepers. This is my first anaconda, and so far hasn't tagged me. He is around 32 inches long, and the story behind him is funny.---- I found a lady of craigslist, who once I contact, ends up working at the petshop I used to go to as a kid. She has the yellow conda, only because a 10 year old kid, along with his grandfather, came and turned it over to her. She took it, and was trying to find it a good home. I talked to her, proving to her I knew my stuff. We met tonight, and I took the little guy home. I asked my guy at another petshop (only reason I switched, was because childhood petshop moved) and he had said that the same kid came in early that day. He refused to take it, because they would only offer him store credit, and the kid wanted a green anaconda to replace the yellow, because the yellow bit to much. Poor kids first snake was a yellow anaconda, and he toughed it out for 6 months. His parents thought it a nice snake, and picked it up for him at a reptile convention. ---- The kid to one thing correct, the snake is already on f/t. lol.
