I don't see these deer enough to know if it is gravid or not. The photo was taken on a barrier island on the east coast, where many of the larger mammals must consume copious amounts of water to handle the quantity of salt in their diet. This often gives them a bloated appearance. Sika deer are not native to the U.S. They are an East Asia species.
