New ferrett

Well if you didnt already know I got my girlfriend a ferrett for christmas. Today she was looking around on CL and found one free to good home. I called the lady and she said it wasnt neudered or descented at all.. I called and asked a friend how tough of a time am I getting into if I got it. She straight up told me that she would not mess with it at all..

Well seeing my girl is pregnant and I wasnot bout to agrue with a pregnant woman I went to least check itout.

The lady didnt know what she was talking about. It is a Marshalls Ferrett. Has the tat and of course is neutered and all. She gave us the cage that will actually house two ferretts and the ferrett.

We talked for a few and I offered to give some kind of cash and she refused at first but then said it would help since shes been out of work so I gave her the cash I had which was thirty dollars and she was very appreciative of it. All in all I got the cage which retails at the petsore here for almost 200 and the ferrett which retails for 160 at the petstore for 30 bucks.
I will post picturees later of him I just got him home lol...

They are really funny animals, and i sure wouldn't mind having one someday!!

My Marshall's Asmodean was easily one of the greatest pets I've ever owned. It is so much easier-going when the males are neutered - and de-scented ferrets are far easier to tolerate, as well.

I'd love to own another, but with the snakes, it'd never get the attention and free-time that would make it most happy. What it is more, either [the ferret or snakes] are too unpredictable, dangerous and resourceful to be in the same household.

I'd never forgive myself if the ferret successfully attacked one of the snakes or vice-versa. Secure-caging aside, accidents do happen, and that's just something I could never risk.

We used to own 9 ferrets. out first scared the living daylights out of my dad when he first saw it, so we named it scary. we also had an albino, it was deaf, and it was a master escape artist. they are very funny, and fun to own. generally, they will be very good with kids as well.

Thisone was kind of sad at the end to take way from them cause they had kids and they were wanting to keep it but he lady told me just to take it. She said that they were not giving him attention that he needed.

Thanks Keri for the much needed spelling lesson lol ... I have introduced the both of them. Meeko is a little bigger than the new guy Charlie. I am debating on maybe seeing how they handle being housed together. Meeko is just a little aggressive but I been told on the f-e-r-r-e-t forums that it should be ok lol... Keri I spelled it right haha..

I will be putting some pics of him up in a few my girlfriend has been picture happy with him and them together.

It's sad about the kids but if they weren't able to take care of it I'm sure you will do a great job and he has a friend in Meeko

the best part about having two ferrets is watching them play tag and do the little war weasel dance...where they look like they're having spasms/epileptic fits above the ground. Do yours bark? Mine bark and chirp and growl, it's adorable! They're like little socks with legs and brains haha.
