Re: Why you don't want a raccoon.
Unfortunately, no, not really. She's driving two hours to meet me a little over halfway to get him. :\
She lives out in what I like to refer to as "the booney-dingles".
I'm going to try to go and visit them during An Tir West War, and at least try to bribe pictures out of her. lol

She built a huge chain link "enclosure" for her raccoons(one recently passed away at 13 years old from some kind of cancer) that is almost as big as a 3 bedroom house. It has it's own loft, and tons of hidey boxes and a swimming pool.
So, Gneudals is going to his new home this weekend. I couldn't be happier for him.

OH NO!!!!! Sorry to hear that Xeike, but I am very impressed of how you have cared for him! And the fact that you know he is going to a good suitable home shows how much you care. I know it will be hard, I feel for ya! Give him a "drop the xbox cord" reprimend for me... !

Re: Why you don't want a raccoon.
lol, I will... He already turned the stupid xbox off once this morning by unplugging it. *mutter mutter mutter*
My take on the whole thing, especially with an animal like Gneudals, if I find someone who wants my animal, and OBVIOUSLY does things better than I do.... It's unfair for me to keep the animal, unless I plan to immediately make things THAT good.
And I just can't do that for Gneudals, not any time in the near future. It's more fair for him(actually a her, I found out... Stupid raccoon genitals) to go to this new home than stay with me. I just can't do things that well for him for a LONG time.
Plus - She'll have a friend.

Re: Why you don't want a raccoon.
I'm glad that she wil have someone to play with.
I'm bummed that she won't be around you any more. you gave her such a great home in the first part of her life.

Re: Why you don't want a raccoon.
I know, I love her, always will. She may have had a great first part of her life, but she'll live out the rest of her life in a WAY better situation than I could give her. That makes me happy. I've been feeling kind of guilty trying to convince myself she'd be content in my apartment. But yeah, no, who am I kidding? She'll have a whole building full of toys and pools to destroy and run amok in. She'll love it.
I'm sad I won't be able to squish and love on her every day, but the pros outweigh the cons in this instance. I'm sure I'll have another one one day. There's certainly no shortage of raccoons here!
