I wish I had the time to actually go out and take great pictures around my area like you guys do. And every time I am out in the mountains I forget my camera =(

They are fabulous animals! May I ask where you are located...it's got to be South/Central America or near a zoo that has them unless you got these pics on the net. I cannot think that they could be successfully accommodated in any zoo, though!

I took the photo at a local zoo. Here in the U.S. we have 103 Giant Anteaters in captivity and we've had 4 births during the last 12 months. Unfortunately, I know nothing of their captive diet other than their food looks like wet (canned) cat food.

That is the cutest thing I used to have a toy anteater with a little plastic/velcro tongue that picked up little stuffed ants...lol That was last week or so...Just kidding. I think I was about 4.
