Glider nails

I have a pair of Gliders and they have real sharp claws, They dont let me hold them so how can i trim the nails on them? Ive seen the teth on them and i dont think its in my best interest to grab them and hold them while my wife cuts them. Any ideas? Or product ideas? thanks Thomas

the only sugestion I have is to hold them by the scruf on the back of there neck and put a towel over there head and firmly hold the back legs while your wife trims there nails make sure you don't cut them to far down to the quick

Its going to be like "sandpapering a bobcats butt in a phone booth" LOL The end result will be me bit and scratched up and the nails the same size. LOL I will give it a try Tmfleo . Thanks I was thinking like the bird branches that have sandpaper covering on them.

I take it you have never kept gliders. Grabbing them by the scruff just makes it more difficult for YOU to get away as they lacerate you . Nimble little critters. If you can apply enough pressure to restrain their head by the scruff, then it is a dangerous amount. Remember they are marsupials, not rodents.

Put on leather work gloves (their teeth are designed to pierce bark, not leather). cover their head with a towel. Just clip as little as possible. Their quick goes quite far down. You just want to turn the needle into a shank

DO NOT use the the bird branches. Glider feet are not tough enough and you risk abrasions and infections.

Just my 2 cents.
