I wanted ferrets but wasn't allowed because 'they smell' even though i pointed out if they're cleaned out and kept nice they don't smell like any other animal - never got one though :0(

They're great... and just as addictive as snakes. We have our 2 ferret cages and cat litter box in the same room. It doesn't smell at all, but we're nuts with our upkeep.
Black Masks are typicall sables i've found, that seems to be the most common type. Needless to say though they make us keep our pop cans and socks away, otherwise they're gone!

When I had ferrets years ago, the only problem I had when they were out with the cats was that my male would grab the cats' ears (especially one cat in particular who always wanted to play until the ear-biting began) and not let go. They never bit hard enough to draw blood, but the cat would end up giving up and falling over, and whining the whole time for mom to come and make the bad ferret let go.

well i dont think i would have a problem then if that's the case of cats and ferrets getting along because when i bring one of our rabbits out the cats just go n hide cuz they will have nothing to do with the rabbit...but i think that stemmed from Lily our female bunny tried to show her "dominance" with mika my momma cat by getting on top of mika n well.. umm she did male "actions" to mika.. lmfao
