The Boston is cute and the face he's making is funny, but I'm not much of a dog person...

Re: Four-legged friends (pics)
That looks SO awesome! I lol'd at your pseudo ferret
Do you always use blankets? I've been using newspaper as a base and small animal bedding on top (recycled newspaper that's nice and soft but easy to throw around)that they burrow in and kick out the sides (lol it's a mess and a half). Any other tips on cleaning/setup? Mine seem to need a litter box on their little top shelf as well, otherwise I have to clean up double hehe. So I put one there... and by yesterday, they had kicked it off of the ledge!! So.. any advice appreciated. I tried to secure it to the side but that isn't happening without a drill in the plastic of the litter box and wiring it to the cage...
Anyway other than those minor minor things I loooove these cages. So easy to move around and clean. And the ferrets love them!!! <3 And I never would have found them if I hand't read your post on it either! So thanks a million!

Re: Four-legged friends (pics)
My cages are tied to the sides of the cage. The grey litter box has a hole drilled through the top corner and string drawn through so I can tie it to the corner. The top litter is "supposed to stay in place" like the store said but it doesn't so I tie it in place too. They like to poop on their shelf too so in the corner they poop, I put a little clip-on corner bed. They haven't bothered pooping on the highest shelf so i haven't had to worry about that.
I will put newspaper or towels on the bottom of the cage if I feel like it or not. Right now, there's nothing on the bottom because they just messed it up and made more messes.

Re: Four-legged friends (pics)
Ok thanks I have a drill I can use for all that, I'll try it! I like letting them make messes because they seem happy doing it and they like to nestle in their weird piles of newspaper (there's a towel as well they nestle with) and sleep, even better than in the hammock half the time

Re: Four-legged friends (pics)
Messes would be fine and dandy if they STAYED IN THE CAGE and the messes didn't involve them flinging poop and litter 3 feet out of the cage...

Re: Four-legged friends (pics)
Ok now I see your point.. indeed. So far litter has stayed within a foot and no poop has in fact been flung. (they haven't figured out that it's fun to play with?)
If it ever gets like that I will be in your boat!
