Red face Ferrets Can't Share.
My ferrets have this thing where they need to fight over a single piece of food. Even when there is more than one piece of food and the other pieces are significantly larger than the one they're fighting over....

If I separate them, they'll seek eachother out and fight over food. If I put them in separate feeding cages, they'll look at me like "Why'd you put me in here? I'm not hungry now."

They can never do things the simple way.

ROFL. I can't help it. That's just what popped into my mind when I saw it.
I'm not allowed to have ferrets anyways anymore because the boyfriend doesn't approve of furry critters. I'm lucky enough to have my 4 hammys, 2 rats (once of which I named after my man. hehe), & bunneh.

Years ago I had a ferret that I named Bandit. He was cool but you did not dare go barefoot as he perceived your big toe as a grape. I was still married back then.... Needless to say I am not married anymore...and my ex still walks funny.
