Re: R.I.P. Feeble
I am comforted by the fact that every time I held him or he cuddled on me he would purr the tiniest little purrs... So at least I could make him happy and comfortable in the little time he had

Re: R.I.P. Feeble
lol, yea... my hubby yells at me, because he knows I'll try my best to rescue, save and sometimes find good homes for pretty much anything I can... which is good, but he gets mad when I bring random things home
2 for 3 I guess really isn't that bad... My other 2 rescue kitties I saved when they were about as old as Feeble was now and are now both about 14 weeks old and thriving wonderfully... I just wish Feeble would have made it

I'm sorry Sakara. At least you gave the little guy lots of love before hand so he did get to know kindness before crossing over. Good Karma

Re: R.I.P. Feeble
I really dunno... he was doing pretty well, but I guess he was on his own too long before i found him or something. he had some runny poos this past week but I figured it was due to the worm meds he was on... he was eating pretty well on slightly soaked hard food and drank lots of water... I imagine he could have had some sort of liver or kidney failure due to living on his own for who knows how long. he was TINY. like skin and bones when I found him... he had also had a tapeworm, which he was treated for, but I guess it could have already caused damage before i had him.
I'm just really upset. I was hoping he'd be alright I haven't cried this much over a pet since I lost my first Siamese, Precious, to kidney failure back in 2004 I've literally been crying almost non-stop for 12 hours
i think the other kitties know I'm upset because they haven't left me alone since we got home

Re: R.I.P. Feeble
I'm so sorry. He may have just had failure to thrive. I've seen it happen to kittens, even in the most loving environments.

Re: R.I.P. Feeble
He is now cuddling with Precious and Willowee. I think the ones that are the most helpless and dependent are the hardest to lose.

Re: R.I.P. Feeble
We had a tiny, boney black kitten once at the shelter named Blackjack. Even though he was about 9 months, he was the size of a 2 or 3-month kitten and very skinny. He was very loving and would cuddle all day. He was adopted by some wonderful people and given a great home. But he died anyway. They think it was failure to thrive. I don't know if that's what yours had, but whatever it was, it is probably nothing you could have prevented. At least he knew love in his short little life. I do believe they come into our lives to teach us how to love.

it's true... because they depend on you and need you and you do everything you can for them Ryan named him Feeble because he was so small and pitiful. he hung in there as long as his little body could I know he tried and fought. I highly doubt he would have made it another couple days on the streets. he had a full belly, a soft place to sleep and all the annoying love and cuddles I could give him
