Re: So Cute!!
They're adorable. I used to be terrified of ferrets and now I would love to own one.

Re: So Cute!!
I glad you get the enjoyment out of yours like I do with the 2 we have at the store. We have 2 at the store currently and every morning before we open I let them out to play & the 2 ferrets are a never ending supply of laughs--LOL, I'm laughing just thinking about them--they'll follow me around the store while I feed out the other animals and do their little sideways hop & high step prance while checking out EVERYTHING they either see, smell or sense, then they'll do their sneaky mock attack on me and climb up my leg till I pick the little buggers up and let them ride on my shoulders. I never really cared for ferrets till I had the opportunity to interact with them. And when it comes to hunting any loose mice or rats a cat got nothing on them when it comes to ability.

Re: So Cute!!
What a cute little weasel. He really needs to learn how to relax, though.

Re: So Cute!!
They share a rat? That must be a pretty sight....Seems strange that something that looks somewhat rat-like eats rats.

Re: So Cute!!
It's weird 'cause I don't seem them as rat-looking. lol
I don't watch them eat big rats though, it is a little gross. I put it in a big, dark feeding bin where they can feel safe and eat and I cannot see them do it. lol
They get fed the same diet as the snakes with raw meaty bones, organs and quartered animals (Chickens, quail, etc)

Re: So Cute!!
It's part of their normal diet, they'll eat birds and reptiles too IIRC

Re: So Cute!!
I always thought they ate little pellets? There's something disturbing about cute little weasels tearing large rats apart from limb to limb. Adorable, yet disturbing. lol

Re: So Cute!!
They get feeder insects as well.
And they can eat high quality ferret food but I don't like the way kibble smells or the way their poo smells when on kibble. Or the way they smell in general when on kibble. lol
