pix if the puppy's parents

Someone in a thread on one of the forums asked to see pix of the parents of the new pitbull puppy I just got so I figured I would get a couple of pix posted.

Just picked this little guy up yesterday. He has been great so far.





pix of the parents...who are two different "styles" of pitbulls. It will interesting to see how this little guy develops over the next year or two.

mom (she had a really tough pregnancy and lost about 13 lbs after giving birth...it really shows in her face)...she is normally about 55 lbs and she is in the low 40's now. She is getting better now that she isn't nursing any more. He may not breed her again since this was so tough physically on her. She is 2 and a half years old.



dad.....he caught a case of "happy tail" and cut it on the door as I was trying to get a good pic of him. He is a little more than a year and a half and is about 60 lbs.

Cute puppy and mom looks a lot like a chocolate Lab to me. I have owned chocolate Lab for over 18 years now and in my opinion they are one of the best family type dogs you can own. I just rescued a chocolate Lab on valentines day and she was a gift for the whole family. We now own 3 dogs and two are chocolate Lab. Here are a few pictures of them.

Wow - dad looks to have a pretty severe case of mange, or an allergy (note the hairless patches around his eyes and muzzle) keep an eye out for that in the pups. He's cute tho. (I don't mean to be negative just keep an eye out for it in the puppy)

mom looks a lot like a chocolate Lab to me.

There are many apbt's that have that look. (not my favorite "Style" by the way).....here are a few pages with examples of that look. You don't see it very often any more as the "bullies" have taken over the market but check these pages.

Gorgeous!! I honestly believe there is some chocolate lab in the mom..but so what? Shes beautiful!

That looks like a food allergy to me, and it is common in blue pit bulls.

Just watch your pup, Dank as allergies can be genetic. A good quality, grain free, dog food will help prevent any from popping up.
