So I almost hit a pit bull....

We were coming back to the house and I saw 2 eyes glowing right in front of my car... I stopped and saw a large pit bull with no collar... He was wet and looked scared... He almost got hit 2 more times and I got him to come to me and I grabbed him, lol... So, being the terrible animal lover that I am, I brought him home... He is the sweetest thing, gets along with Koda and all the other mammals... So I'm going to post an ad, without pics, on CL to see if anyone lost him... He's deff. in good shape and not starving... so yea... I'm kinda hoping no one claims him... I like him..........

he does look part bulldog. i had en english bulldog that looked a lot like him, even had that white coat with the brown circle on its back. only one of his eyes had a brown patch though, not both. totally has that pitbull face though and the pigeon-chested stance goin. i dig pitbulls a lot i wish they were legal here. i have a fila brasilera and a maltese.

I agree about him looking a little American Bulldog - and he doesn't look very young - he's very cute tho! I hope if his people are missing him that he goes home (and if they are not that he stays with you! lol)

I actually think it might be american bulldog and not pit...Koda is a tallll dog...Pitbulls arent that tall..but american bulldogs are...but he might be part pit part bulldog...Idk..hes adorable though! ..I wish i could bring my pitbull cain over there for a play date..but cain..would prolly attack everything im sight Blah!

i gotta agree with the american bulldog, my neigbor used to have one and she was a beast as a puppy. so it could just be a younger bulldog with a hint of pitt. cause i think (never seeing koda for real size comparison) that its more american bulldog then anything only because of the sizee but regardless of what breed you found he does look like one very handsome fella.

awww he is so cute,it looks like a american bulldog to me too, my husband had one that look just like him but she was all white. i know if we saw that dog on the road Joe would made us keep it lol...

thanks guys... He's been really good... he seems like he's potty trained... I let them both out and he went right away... So at least that's good and Ryan won't flip out about that

Koda is a very tall dog... He's tall and lanky like a wolf, lol... Probably about the size of an adult female wolf actually... Just doesn't have much girth, LOL! Koda is taller then this guy but not nearly as thick... I can't even get my hands around this guys neck, LOL!

And python chic... Yes, koda is dusty and muddy... He thinks it's his job to go and jump like a fox into the mud... both paws straight up and down... It makes me SOOOOO mad, lol... And you will have to come play with him

He has too much energy and we can't do much about it because the yard is gross with mud right now

BTW... I just looked up American Bull dog... He looks almost like a mutt between the 2... He's got those american colors but he's deff. got the pit face and head no doubt about that, lol... Who knows... Although I have seen taller purebred pits... eh, who cares, lol...

He's cute & you did a nice deed (good way to start the New Year) but one word of caution: don't assume from initial appearances that they get along great together...dominance issues can sneak up on you! I once took in a beautiful, playful cattle dog that got along with my other dogs, or so I thought! But when left alone, he bit the other dogs, not playful nips either! ('Course when he growled at me as I walked past when he was eating, he got the shock of his life 'cause I immediately flipped him on his back, had him by the throat and verbally got in his face! And it took 2 such instances from me...lol!) But I had to re-home him as he was never trustworthy with my other dogs...and that was unacceptable! Hopefully nothing happens like this, but just please watch for subtle signs...

How does he do with the cat? I'd definitely be cautious, especially with him around your son. You don't know his history, especially regarding aggression to kids or other animals.

thanks for the advice. And I'll keep watching them... I know I have had an issue with Koda before when he does something bad...

Like, the other day he got into the cat box and I caught him in the act... I smacked his butt and he grabbed my arm... I tossed him on his back and bit him across the nose... He was crying and howling and went straight to his crate... So I think he learned his lesson not to try to bite me -_-

American bull dog id say also,b/c my pits are only 46 lbs my American bull dog is 80...nice dog and deff see if hes food aggressive.....hes got beautiful eyes........

he's not food aggressive with me or with Koda... They were actually eating and drinking out of the same bowl at the same time even though I gave them separate food bowls... they shared both bowls O_o No growling, no weird stares... one would take a couple bites, then the other...

Hes still a cutie...but pits can be big too..Cain is bout 70lbs..i bet hes mixed between the two! Ill prolly come over this month and gain some of kodas enegy lol hes so cute...Cains a big meany so i cant bring him over..he hates everything lol
