Re: Bengal Cats
yah they are getting more and more common because of breeding and kittens not getting neutered, they have incredible soft fur and no undercoat so they dont shed much, and they get big, males around 15-20 lbs i read, they range in price from 500-1000 for a nice one too

Re: Bengal Cats
I don't wanna be the big bubble burster, but I do not think that these guys have any Asain wild cat in them. They look to have the spots, but they just aren't right. I will show this thread to a friend of mine that keeps exotic cats tomorrow morning and see what she says.
Either way, very cute kitties!!!

Re: Bengal Cats
Oh I know... Usually the domestic is a tabby or black.
Ok.... are you ready for this... I just called my friend, because I saw her online, and she said there is definately some type of wild cat in him. Either high generation Savannah cat or a Bengal mix.
She also said you have a very nice kitty.

Re: Bengal Cats
we have two bengals....they are 8 years old now and like children to us!
it's an awesome breed...very dog-like and full of energy!
somewhat demanding but we love it
this is our male, Pekoe
we have a female named Sweetie who is about half his size.

Re: Bengal Cats
You cat is adorably cute but does not look like a purebred savannah or bengal. The bengal's pattern almost looks like a fur coat. It is unlike any tabby coat you'll find. The savannahs I've seen look like a cross between a serval and a cheetah--again not like any domestic housecats I've ever seen. Other spotted varieties are Egyptian maus and ocicats. You can google all these breeds to see if there is a similarity. My guess is just a strikingly beautful tabby.
