Hey what happened to the Snake of the Month contest and other related contests? Since i started frequenting this site its been the same snake pictured the whole time. For what its worth though that may be the prettiest redtail boa i have ever seen!

I think some changes in who is handling the contests are in order before we get these contests going again. But for the record, the SOM and LOM contests had kinda dwindled down. Nobody was sending in pics to have them.
SO... Everyone go ahead and get your cameras ready. Once the changes are made hopefully the contests will pick back up and we will see some good compitition. People need to start getting creative and taking more pics to get the contests rolling again.

Here's an idea.
The Snake of the month, keep it snakes (pet snakes) and the lizard contest.. how about a change to 'Other photos contest' to include everything else on the site, snakes(non-pets), birds, fuzzy exotics, Ts etc.. that are our pets also and general field herping photos.
No wannabe Croc Hunters please!

Due to the awesome response the renewed SOM contest has had, I had to create thumbnails for all the photos that weresubmitted. At 21 pics, the page was just taking to long to load.
Unfortunately the program I use to do the thumbnails leaves a watermark it. That's the price of a freebie [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif[/img]
But now the page loads much quicker and you can see the full size photo by clicking on the tumbnails.
We are up to 21 entries for April and there are still 9 days left to submit your photos.
Remember, voting begins on April 23rd!!!
