Profanity Rule Clarification.
For those who are not clear on the rules of RTB concerning profanity, I will spell it out here for you.
If you wouldn't hear Bugs Bunny say it, don't use it at RTB. The purpose of this rule is, we have young visitors. We do not want any parent to ever have any reason to ban their child from this website.
This includes such mild words as the proper name for the place of eternal punishment in the lake of fire.
This also includes hiding one or multiple letters behind asterisks or other characters, ie. h#ck.
This also includes internet shortcuts such as "WTF", "BS", or other abbreviations that have only one meaning.
I have to assume that everyone here has sufficient vocabulary to come up with an appropriate replacement for profanity and yet express your thoughts. On your first use of profanity that is caught by a moderator, we give you a warning. That's the little yellow card in certain posts. It is just a warning, but a record of that warning remains for mods and admins to see... so that on the second instance, you get an infraction... This is part of your permanent record at RTB and can count against you toward eventual banning or other limiting of posting privileges.
We as mods and admins do not enjoy being mean. We prefer not to punish, so please... don't give us any reason to punish.

Re: Profanity Rule Clarification.
Additional note: If you require further clarification or would like to know if something is acceptable, Please PM a mod or admin before you post. I think it is safe to say that we would ALL rather respond to your PM than give you an infraction.

This thread is a statement of policy and not a place to whine about the policy. Because of this, I have removed ALL comments from this thread and closed it.
If you feel the need to whine about the policy, please PM a mod or admin. We will be glad to diplomatically discuss your issue.
