I got dinged
Hey all, as you can see, I have a bad mark for "supposedly" writing cursing words. Well, if any of you have paid any attention to my posts in the few years Ive been on here, has anyone seen me post cursing words before?
At first I kinda blew it off and told the mod of the thread, sorry. Then I started to think about it, why was I sorry for something I didn't do? I know there are younger ppl on this site so thats why i dont write that way.
The problem may lie in the program format here, when someone types something of not good content it may put up # signs in place of the bad letters, which I am not against.... But take note I did write something and placed symbles in place of a whole bunch of lettters (For the reader to put what ever HE wanted in its place) and I got dinged for bad language.
Sure it was an inuendo[sic] in place of foul language possibly. But I did not write it out write. This is what gets me. So where do we difine whats offensive and whats not? For an example is the word "frigin" foul? It could be used in place of a foul word if needed couldnt it? same as a @ sign and a %sign in sequence, could it not? So I am a bit confused.
Only ADAULTS would know what to put in place of symbles in a sentence of sorts, not a child. I could be reaching here, but don't think I am.
So another question would be? How long do I have to Carry this false accusation of negativity on my name?
Any mod to help me understand this is welcome to send me a PM message to clear this for me.

If it was a mistake simple tell the mod or admin that it is a mistake and why. We don't go around "dinging" for no reason.

I am sorry to say, you are not the first person to get "dinged" for moving letters to prevent the curse filter from catching it, and I can honestly say, you wont be the last.
Your `false` Infractions will expire Dec 9th I beleive. However I dont see how you can state its false when you open and freely admit your action. |

If the context is obvious and the symbols leave no doubt as to what word was meant there, I'll ding you  This site is G rated. Most TV these days is at least PG so don't use TV for a guideline. If you can't think of a more appropriate word to use to convey your feelings, msg someone for help. The English language is pretty cool and differs from many languages with it's complex system of synonyms. In Spanish for example, you habla. That's pretty much the only word for talk. They don't have other goodies like speak, rap, orate, chew the fat, shoot the bull, gab, gossip, chat, chatter, blab etc at least as far as I know. My Spanish is pretty limited. The definition of the word usually isn't what made it offensive so that makes it pretty easy to find a suitable synonym. It's ok for example to say butt, rectum, back side, rump. Just don't add the other word for oriface to the end of it. Heck, Dang, Darn, Dagnabit...all good. Friggin and freakin I don't have a problem with...others might but I've never heard a complaint. Crap, poop, doodoo if you must, defecate, vote republican... lol sorry. But you see, there are alternatives. Please think before you type and remember that we just want to keep it clean for the little ones ...and even sometimes the not so little ones. Profanity only offends a few. We know this. But the LACK of profanity offends NO ONE.
