i like it, too, actually. Its pretty nice. But 'minced oath' IMO is equally profane as the real word. so because we allow fake cuss words like heck...the forums become just as unintelligible.

u know...if you think about it it really depends on which word originated first, if dang was before its profane version, the the profane version is the substitute, so dang couldnt have been a substitute for a bad word if the bad word didnt excist yet

actually by saying that no profanity or vulgarity is allowed...they are relying on the social construction of redtailboa.net. whatever is commonly accepted as profane/vulgar by the members will be viewed as such by the mods/admins regardless of the definition of the word or lack thereof. so the misuse of non vulgar words can result in vulgarity or profanity.
