Finally got it. It's about 22 inches long and really curious about what's going on around it. It actually doesn't mind being handled. Getting it out and putting it back in is the tough part. Fast little bugger. Once it's out it just chills looking around with it's tongue flickering. Really bright green with a yellow underside. It's eating crickets and seems to have acclimated nicely. I hope it does good. It loves to climb.
Anyone got any tips on it's care?
It's in a tall terrarium set-up from BARRs with branches for climbing.
Heat mat underneath with the temp at 80 and I have a 20 watt light on top. Gives a little heat but not much. Mostly there because the snake is diurnal

Lots of Foliage in the branches for hides, they're highly arboreal...but you obviously knew that that based on your set up. I might provide a bulb that gives UVB due to it being insect eater and also one that gives off some heat, as it is unlikley to spend the majority of it's time on ground. Dust his crickets once a week too.

I finally dug up my "Basic Care of rough green snakes" and have already taken the liberty of copying it for you. If you give me you snail mail address (e-mail it to me) I'll get this out to you if you're interested. It's only about 8-10 pages.

WOW, That was a killer bump! 4 year old post! Hahah.
Anyway, you might want to make a new topic in the help forum regarding that issue.

Why open a new thread? LOL
I had a rough green..Cute lil guys!! How is your set up? Does he have quite a few silk or live plants to hide in?
He most likely is very stressed. I would leave him completely alone and let him destress for a few days. If he is in a high traffic room, you might move him to another area of the house.
Rough green snakes typically can be found in trees, bushes, and vines near or overhanging bodies of water and are fairly good swimmers.
They will eat grasshoppers, cockroaches, hover flies, crickets, dragonflies, caterpillars, harvestmen, roaches, land snails. They are capable of catching prey in the air. They rely on their keen eyesight and prey movement to detect their prey, rather than their sense of smell.
Mine did well eating earthworms (BLECH!!!)
Hope that helps....remember LOTS of greenery, as they are mostly arboreal..
