MBK update
Well, after almost 3 weeks in my care, Lux, my 0.1 Mexican Black King is doing much better.
She's now taken 4 f/t meals and given me a complete shed. All the superficial nicks and burrs are gone, and all that remains is the bite she suffered shortly before I came for her.
[The bite is visible there just near her left eye]
It's been kept clean and I've applied a topical once a week since 07/11. It's clearly - if only a little - begun to close since the shed.
She's otherwise doing very well, and no other issues have cropped up yet. No mites, and she hasn't tried to take a bite out of me since I began hook-training her.
She's a sweetie.
