I rescued a breeding pair from a pet store that were not being taken care of very well. They did the nasty on the way home and a couple of times over the last few months. But the female never really got fat only about 2 inches of her body so I thought is was a no go. Went to check on the cage for cleaning and there are 16 eggs in the humitiy hide because the male albio is going through a shed. I have read up in the cornsnake book for breeding and incubation but could use a little more. I have not messed with the eggs yet since I dont have anything set up yet. I have a cooler that i got from a pet store that the ship fish in. with a heating pad in the bottom for the heat. Am going to set up a dimmer switch tomorrow after work to get the time just right for 85 is what the book says. A plactic shoe box sitting on heating pad with the vermiculite soil in it full less 1.5 inches. Still have to mix water, the book says half and half by weight. I am going to have to go to the pet store for that, do to not having a scale. My local pet store is cool. Also book says humitity at 100. I have two temp probes for soil and air temps and humilty, will have to open cooler to get numbers but room is warm. If this sounds good please let me know. Right now the eggs are still with mom and dad temp around 77-80 cool side of cage to keep humitiy in 90s. All 16 eggs look fertial and feel like hardend marshmellows. Only one egg is not in clump. Plz help really looking forward to see what babies hatch. Dad is albino and dont know what mom is have not found a pick that look just like her. She is red but not like a normal. Plz help me out and I will post pics in time, have just started new job and have not got rid of old one yet. So this could not have come at a busier time. Thanksjef1cruz@hotmail.com

Sounds ok...most US Native colubrid eggs do fine with little help from us. A friend of mine hatches them in a shoe box sitting on top of his cable box LOL. The cage humidity is 90%? or the nest box is? Cornsnakes don't need humidity near that high.
